This weeks six is a continuation of the fight scene between Silas and Riley from my novel Bonded in Exile. Thanks for reading and leaving your comments. Have a great day!
Silas slid his hand over Riley’s throat, pinning him to the ground and placed his other hand over Riley’s chest. The moment Silas made contact with him, the energy in the air suddenly began to crackle and the look of murderous rage in Riley’s eyes faltered–replaced with sheer terror as a white light began to glow from Silas’ palm.
She watched in slow motion, which in real-time must have been all of two seconds, as Riley’s hand went to his ankle and with a swift upward thrust, unsheathed a dagger and buried it into the side of Silas’s thigh. A scream tore from Emily’s throat, a snarled oath that sounded a lot like “motherfucker” flew out of Silas’. The light from his palm went out like a flame in the darkness and Riley scrambled out from underneath him, staggering for the door like a drunken sailor. His shoulder slammed into the door jamb as he reached out, to steady himself.
Wow, that’s quite a fight scene! Really well done!

See? I’m totally justified in not liking Riley! This scene proves it! Great six, Melynda. I hope Silas is okay.
Great action scene!
Nicely choreographed! I love the phrase “a snarled oath.”
